Theme
This year's program theme is Exploring Our Money Stories.
Our feelings, thoughts, and behaviors are a result of the stories we tell ourselves about our lives. We assemble these stories with input from our experiences, our families, and the culture that surrounds us.
At this year’s Summer Institute, we will examine the stories we have about the financial wealth that has come to us by way of inheritance or by our choiceof life partner, including:
- The impact it has had on our lives, our identities, our values, and our sense of self-worth
- The way it influences our relationships and choices
- The price we pay for it
As we hear other people’s stories, we’ll explore the truthfulness of our own stories, and the ways they have colored our experiences. We will consider how our stories enrich our lives and how they might hinder us in achieving our goals.
Using these strategies, we will each gain new perspectives and the freedom to choose the stories that enable us to lead more deeply fulfilling lives and help us pass on more empowering stories to the next generation.
Location
The 2011 Summer Institute will take place at White Stallion Ranch, a charming, family-run dude ranch in Tucson, Arizona. Summer Institute participants will enjoy the beauty of White Stallion Ranch’s 3,000 acres of wide-open land at the foot of the ruggedly beautiful Tucson Mountains, adjacent to Saguaro National Park. The ranch has been the home of the True family since 1965, where the third generation of the family is now growing up. White Stallion Ranch’s goal is to carefully blend the family approach and personal touch of a traditional dude ranch with the service and quality of a fine resort.
White Stallion Ranch features horseback riding, team penning, tennis, volleyball, basketball, badminton, pool,fitness center, massage facilities, hot tub, hiking and jogging trails, ping pong and indoor games, and more! —
all of which (with the exception of massages) are included as part of your registration fee, and can be enjoyed when not in session. The White Stallion Ranch is just 40 minutes from the Tucson International Airport and 90 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (the Ranch provides complimentary van service to and from the Tucson airport). Registration Fees
Your Summer Institute registration fee covers the program and materials, as well as accommodations, meals, taxes and gratuities. Travel costs are not included.
$2,600 before August 1st ::: $2,800 after August 1st
To encourage spouses/partners to come together to explore the impact of money on their relationship, there is a discount for the second member of a couple:
$1,800 before August 1st ::: $2,000 after August 1st
Refund Policy: Participants cancelling less than 30 days before the start of the Summer Institute will receive full tuition refunds, less $200 and any nonrefundable costs assessed by White Stallion Ranch.
